RCP30 Series Parallel Arm Cutters

RCP30 Series Parallel Arm Cutters

Available Models

RCP3060, RCPM3060

Description

The RCP3060 offers a horizontal cutting reach of 18' 10", 3' longer than the RCP26 Series model. The 30 Series is great for those roadsides that want a manicured look further down the ditch or want to remain a little further away from the soggy banks of the pond.

Land Pride's Hydraulic Parallel Arm Rotary Cutters provide excellent cutting performances on ditch banks and other sloping areas adjacent to rights-of-way, lakes, ponds, or streams. They work equally as well in and around areas of restricted access such as over or under fences, guardrails, low overhanging branches, tree limbs and hedges. These units perform well in tall grass and will easily cut through standing brush up to 2" in diameter. Optional gauge wheels allow the cutter deck to float over undulations without having to monitor terrain conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Product

Why are my cutter blades locking up?
Answer

Ensure that your cutter is being engaged and disengaged at an idle speed. Check that the tractor has a hydraulic engage oil clutch. Blades may also need to be reshimmed. The mower blades need to be less than ¾” deflection.

What kind of weights do I need for the optional weight hanger assembly?
Answer

Standard suitcase weights. Make sure they are the same brand as the weight hanger assembly installed. There are six weight hanger assembly options available which include: John Deere, Case, IH, Case/IH, New Holland and Kubota.

What is causing my cutter to vibrate?
Answer

Your blades may need to be weighed, and checked for damage. The dishpan also needs to be checked for damage (from a forklift, stump, etc.)

What caused the tailwheel support to fail?
Answer

Lowering the cutter to the ground too fast can cause the tailwheel support to fail. The rate of drop on some tractors can be adjusted. Backing up when the cutter is in a ditch can also cause the tailwheel support to fail.

What caused the driveline to bend or twist?
Answer

Either the slip clutch was never slipped, or a grade 5 or grade 8 bolt was used in place of the grade 2 bolt specified.

What are check chains?
Answer

Check chains are used when you want to return the mower down to the same height of cut every time.

How often should I replace my skid shoes?
Answer

Check all skid shoes regularly. Skid shoes should be replaced when the material thickness is less than 1/8” at any point.

How much does the hydraulic reservoir hold and how often should the filter be changed?
Answer
  • The hydraulic reservoir has a capacity of 35 gallons. Hydraulic fluid should be added as needed until full mark is reached on the dipstick.
  • The 10 micron hydraulic filter should be replaced at a minimum of every 2 years.
How do I drain the oil in the gearbox?
Answer

Remove the vent plug (if on top) and use a suction gun to pull the oil out. If the vent is on the side or back, the top cover can be removed and then the oil can be removed with the suction gun.
